Congratulations to Our New Honorary Members

Two new honorary memberships were announced at the CCA's annual convention this year:

James Carson has been a great supporter of the CCA, regularly attending convention and study group, actively serving on the executive of the East Midlands region, serving on National Council and most recently chair of the disciplinary committee.

Presenting his certificate, Phil Carey, Chairman of the CCA commented:  "James has represented the home credit industry with distinction and he is a great example of what is good about our sector, namely taking great care of his customers and his staff."

James commented "Membership of the CCA has been invaluable to my business over the years.   It is important that member firms are represented in the industry, both at a local and national level and in my experience, the CCA has enabled us to have a voice and be heard".

Phil went on to thank James on behalf of the membership and wish him and Jackie a long and healthy retirement.

Unfortunately Brian Wallace was unable to accept his certificate of honorary membership in person at the convention as he was in Italy but expressed his appreciation by email.

Brian comments "I will be proud to be an Honorary Member of an association that I have been an active member of for nearly 40 years. The association was always a great asset to me and my business.  The shared knowledge and guidance of an extremely vibrant association certainly helped me to achieve success for my own small business.

I hope that the association now continues to prosper for all members both large and small to ensure a future for a sector of the lending market that is not always entirely understood by the greater majority.  I also hope that the CCA's new Director General takes the association forward so that all members and many, many loyal customers continue to get a fair deal and enjoy the benefits of the home credit sector. We are unique!  I wish the Consumer Credit Association every success in the years to come."
