Home Credit Archives Donated to the Open University Business School

The CCA is delighted to announce that the Home Credit Industry records, which have been in the CCA's possession at Queens House, will shortly be moving to a new home where they will get the attention that they deserve.

The records, dating back over 180 years, consist of ledgers, meeting minutes, magazines, letters, as well as all of the paraphernalia of local, regional and national activities including invitations, menus, programmes and hand-written notes.

In order to ensure that the records are stored safely and cost-effectively, the CCA has decided to donate the material to the Open University Business School in Milton Keynes where it will form part of the national records of the True Potential Centre for the Public Understanding of Finance under the supervision of Sharon Collard, an influential academic and Professor of Personal Financial Capability at the Centre.

Sharon comments "We are delighted to add the Home Credit industry records to our archives where they will make a fascinating and valuable contribution to our knowledge of the sector."
