The CCA is the leading trade organisation for home credit businesses.

Established in 1978, the CCA has now established itself as the leading trade organisation for home credit businesses. We know the home credit industry inside out and work closely with the government, industry regulators and debt advice organisations.

We also make sure our members always treat their customers fairly and responsibly. All CCA members are required to meet the exceptionally high standards of business practice set out in our Code of Practice.

Free Debt Advice & Money Guidance Tools

  • MoneyHelper A service providing free, impartial, trusted guidance on money matters, based around the user and backed by the government. The service is available online or over the phone and in addition to providing money and pensions guidance, can give pointers to trusted services if you need more support. If you can’t pay a bill, are facing redundancy, are worried about what you’re borrowing, need to cut your spending, or are generally struggling financially, you can contact MoneyHelper for guidance.
  • Money Navigator An online tool to help those who are concerned about their finances as a result of, for example, redundancy, job loss or a drop in income..
  • StepChange Debt Charity Helping people with debt problems take back control of their finances and their lives.
  • Citizens Advice Free, independent, confidential and impartial advice and information to help you deal with your debt problems.
  • PayPlan An independent body funded by the credit industry and providing free debt help and debt management plans.
  • National Debtline An independent charity, dedicated to providing free debt advice by phone and online to people across UK.

  • If you need guidance on how to make a complaint, or prefer to complete a complaint form, you can download the CCA’s Customer Complaints Procedure leaflet.
  • You can also contact the Financial Ombudsman Service for independent help.

CCA members must treat customers’ personal data carefully and comply with the Data Protection Act 2018 and the EU/UK GDPR.
